Empty Pokhara

,

Pokhara has always been a lively and vibrant city. I love this city; there are numerous cherished memories related to this place. Nevertheless, the present state of Pokhara contrasts unpleasantly with the city of our memories. A majority of businesses are shut down, streets lie deserted, and people remain indoors following the government’s directive to curtail unnecessary activities due to spread of coronavirus in neighboring countries. The uncertainty of how this new virus might affect us is unsettling, amplified by the distressing news that confronts us.

Our current journey was undertaken with considerable reluctance, and we are making sure in avoiding any undesired interactions. Our project site is situated approximately 15 km northwest of this city, an area characterised by sparse human population. Our plan is to swiftly complete our assignment and return home without any harm to our team.

My earnest hope is for its resurgence to its former glory upon my eventual return to this city!
